Profile
LANCOM Systems is a leading German manufacturer of reliable communications solutions for large enterprises and SMEs, public authorities and institutions. We supply products and software for IP-based VPN, Voice over IP and wireless networks, along with support and services.
Traditionally, both hardware and software for all LANCOM routers are developed and tested in Germany. In the process, customer feedback plays a key role in the creation and design of new products, just as the specific demands of the German and European markets do.
Like the LCOS operating system, LANtools are also developed directly by LANCOM and ensure a high level of user friendliness – for everyone. This assures all of our customers that any modifications made to meet new standards will be integrated quickly and reliably and provided to all users through our free update service.
We offer our customers more and help them design their business processes more flexibly and efficiently with significant savings in time and cost at the same time.
Business Areas
Network Connectivity. LANCOM routers make Internet access safe and reliable. The integrated firewall with stateful inspection, Intrusion Detection and Denial-of-Service protection for ADSL, SDSL, ISDN and UMTS access will screen your network safely and reliably from attacks from the Internet. Beyont it, LANCOM VPN router pave the way for a virtual private network. By using VPN technology company offices worldwide can be connected to each other as well as mobile users and off-site teleworkers to the company network itself.
VoIP - Voice over IP. Voice over IP transports voice data in conventional IP packets. This means that existing computer networks and Internet connections such as DSL can be used to transmit voice data in addition to the standard data services such as Internet, e-mail and file transfer. The combined utilization of a single infrastructure for voice and data offers clear cost benefits: Reduction of telephone costs by using Internet telephony, especially for long-distance calls or free telephone calls between company sites by utilizing existing VPN connections.
Wireless LAN. The advantages of wireless LANs are obvious - more flexibility, more mobility and comfort and at the same time lower costs. Without any structural changes and without impairment of the regular routine a wireless LAN is installed at unrivalled speed and offers the network participant compared to wired LANs new dimensions of working. Wireless LAN products are based on the routing technology developed by LANCOM and offer maximum flexibility and extensive security.
