Selecting the right handset for Voice over IP can make all the difference to the success of migration. The LANCOM VP-100 is a SIP telephone which has been especially optimized for user acceptance and wide application in business environments. It fits in seamlessly with the familiar office work place and helps to provide all the advantages of a unified infrastructure for data and voice.
More Acceptance.
Design, ergonomics and operation of the LANCOM VP-100 are intended to resemble conventional system telephones. Understated elegance, familiar functions and easy operation; together with operational readiness within seconds of installation, this telephone is guaranteed to be accepted by all company employees. Simple setup and reliable functionality guarantee the success of a full migration to Voice over IP.
More Efficiency.
With LANCOM VP-100, effective network administration which also includes telephony can be extended all the way to the workplace. Easy setup and administrator access even to individual handsets over the network; these features facilitate the uniform management of voice and data communications. When combined with the VoIP Call Manager in LANCOM's VoIP gateways, local subscribers are registered automatically for fast commissioning of multiple LANCOM VP-100 telephones.
More Consolidation.
Power over Ethernet and the integrated 2-port switch make it easy to consolidate to a uniform network infrastructure for voice and data communications. A telephone can be installed between any networked computer and its network connection. This makes a separate network cable unnecessary and, in combination with a PoE switch, a network cable and power adapter can be spared as well. Alternatively, a power adapter provides electricity from a wall socket. Using a central PoE switch (e.g. LANCOM ES-1108P) generally results in lower power consumption than with multiple individual power adapters. The move over to Power over Ethernet not only offers greater convenience but improved energy efficiency as well.
