Promiscuous-Mode

Activates or deactivates the promiscuous mode. This mode handles also packets that were not sent to the device itself. These packets are forwarded to LCOS to allow an analysis by the WIDS.

This mode can be used to detect the following attacks:
  • PrematureEAPOLFailure
  • PrematureEAPOLSuccess
  • DeauthenticateReqFlood

Important: Please note that the promiscuous mode has a significant impact on the performance. For example, frame aggregation is deactivated while it is in action. Only use this mode in case of a strong suspicion.
