Aachen, August 10, 2017—LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of networking solutions for business customers and the public sector, extends its range of LTE/4G cellular routers with a new 700-series device. The LANCOM 730-4G supplements your network infrastructures with LTE/4G. In combination with LANCOM routers, this is ideal for intelligent backup scenarios.
The cellular router has an integrated LTE/4G modem with 2G/3G support and provides a wireless broadband connection at speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Power can be supplied via a Gigabit Ethernet connection with Power over Ethernet support (PoE as per IEEE 802.3at). Consequently, the device can be positioned to take direct advantage of the best available cellular signal without expensive cabling for the power supply or for external LTE/4G antennas; these would otherwise have to be installed from the server room or 19'' cabinet, for example. Alternatively, the device operates with the standard power supply unit shipped with it.
Full integration into the LANCOM Management Cloud
Like all current LANCOM devices, the 730-4G is optionally managed either with the conventional LANCOM management tools or from the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC). The LANCOM Management Cloud is the world's first management system to employ Software-defined Networking technologies (SDN) for the intelligent orchestration, optimization and control of your entire network (SD-WAN, SD-LAN and SD-WLAN). This greatly simplifies the management of installations of any scale, from small to very large.

LANCOM offers maximum security “Made in Germany”. Like all LANCOM routers and gateways, the LANCOM 730-4G is developed and manufactured in Germany and is based on LANCOM's own operating system, LCOS. LCOS regularly receives free updates and is extremely resistant to cyber-attacks.
