LANCOM L-151gn Wireless: The new premium entry-level access point
Aachen, March 31, 2014—LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of network solutions for enterprise customers and the public sector, adds to its line of WLAN products with an attractive new 802.11n entry-level device.
The LANCOM L-151gn Wireless is a reliable single-radio access point with
2 x 2 MIMO support for enterprises. It offers LANCOM premium quality and up to 150 Mbps for common WLAN applications in the 2.4-GHz frequency range. Thanks to its energy-efficient design, the access point can receive its power supply via PoE (IEEE 802.af). Its two RSMA external antenna connectors allow a discreet installation above suspended ceilings.
The LANCOM L-151gn Wireless provides an affordable step-up to high-quality LANCOM WLAN infrastructures meeting the highest standards in stability and reliability. This access point is an ideal solution for enterprises and WLAN providers who want to offer discreet WLANs with reliable coverage or user-friendly hotspot solutions (for example in stores, hotels, restaurants, universities, libraries, etc.) in combination with a WLAN controller.
Like all LANCOM access points, the new model optionally operates in stand-alone mode or in combination with a LANCOM WLAN controller. The device is also equipped with a comprehensive range of security features, including fully functional IEEE 802.11i with WPA2 and AES encryption, and also IEEE 802.1X/EAP (WPA2 Enterprise) for high-security environments. The device supports network virtualization with Multi-SSID and VLAN.
