FREDERIX Hotspot develops professional Wi-Fi solutions and supports companies in using Wi-Fi not only as Internet access, but also as a digital touchpoint in stores. A central component is CloudWiFi – a proprietary, centralized software platform for managing modern Wi-Fi infrastructures, developed for high performance, security, and easy administration in professional use.
In retail practice, CloudWiFi enables a consistent, brand-strong customer experience across all stores: after scanning the QR code, customers land on a brand-specific Wi-Fi home page, where they can be greeted with offers/news and benefit from seamless login – right through to auto app login. This makes Wi-Fi a scalable basis for omnichannel and in-store services such as app connectivity, self-scanning, or interactive journeys at the point of sale.
Compatibility between CloudWiFi and LANCOM infrastructure components has been jointly ensured to enable integration. Together with the LANCOM Wi-Fi infrastructure, FREDERIX CloudWiFi forms the basis for scalable customer and service Wi-Fi in retail.
*Data protection, access controls, and audit-proof logging:
In addition, CloudWiFi has been developed in strict compliance with European data protection requirements (in particular the GDPR) and ensures the secure and legally compliant operation of professional Wi-Fi infrastructures. The platform has a comprehensive role and authorization concept that enables appropriate control of access rights. CloudWiFi provides basic functions for tracking system activities. These include, in particular, storing the time of the last user login and timestamps for the creation and last modification of data records. This information enables transparent tracking of usage activities and data changes within the platform. This ensures maximum transparency, security, and compliance – both for internal governance requirements and for external audit and compliance processes in enterprise and retail environments.

CloudWiFi was designed and developed entirely in Germany and is therefore subject to the highest European quality, security, and data protection standards. The software architecture, further development, and quality assurance are carried out by Swissnet Group's (Frederix) own development teams, ensuring long-term technological independence and continuous further development. The development location in Germany guarantees maximum reliability, planning security, and compliance with European regulatory requirements, making CloudWiFi a trustworthy platform for use in demanding enterprise, retail, and hospitality environments.
