Energy-efficient PoE switching for office environments
In offices, meeting rooms, or home offices, the LANCOM GS-1208P reliably integrates up to eight network devices such as access points, IP phones, or printers into the network. Devices that support Power over Ethernet (PoE) are supplied with power directly via the network cable in accordance with IEEE 802.3af/at – eliminating the need for additional power lines. With a switching capacity of up to 16 Gbps, the unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch transmits data without bottlenecks, even under full load. Its fanless, compact design ensures noiseless operation and high reliability. The robust, non-slip metal housing with an integrated power supply allows flexible installation – from the desktop to a 19″ rack (rack-mount adapters included).
High performance on 8 ports
The LANCOM GS-1208P is equipped with 8x 1 Gigabit Ethernet ports. With a data throughput of 16 Gbps on the backplane, the switch offers full performance even under load. The switch therefore forms the high-performance basis for modern network infrastructures in small and home offices.
Central power supply without additional cabling
As a powerful PoE switch, the LANCOM GS-1208P supplies connected PoE end devices with power via eight PoE+ ports. It supports the Power over Ethernet standards IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+). Thanks to high power reserves and a total output of 65 watts, it is ideal for the efficient power supply of PoE end devices.
Space-saving and fanless – ideal for silent operation
Thanks to the integrated power supply, the LANCOM GS-1208P requires no additional power adapter and is particularly easy to install – perfect for workplaces with limited space. Its fanless design with no moving parts ensures completely silent operation – ideal for offices, conference rooms, and other noise-sensitive environments.
Robust and durable – built for continuous operation
The sturdy, non-slip metal housing reliably protects the switch from external influences while ensuring efficient heat dissipation – without the need for active cooling. This keeps performance consistently high even during continuous use. The high-quality construction makes the housing resistant to minor shocks and ensures a long service life. For flexible installation, a 19″ rack-mount adapter is already included.
