Secure SD-WAN with multi-WAN over VDSL, fiber & 4G incl. VoIP
This high-end SD-WAN gateway for the first time combines two VDSL Supervectoring modems in just one device for a bandwidth of 2x 300 Mbps when using both connections at the same time. The device alternatively operates on a G.fast gigabit connection. The additional LTE Advanced module is an Internet backup that guarantees highest availability. Equipped with state-of-the-art SD-WAN technology for secure and automated VPN site connectivity, the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G is the top-class solution for mission-critical applications in medium-sized and large branch infrastructures.
- Secure SD-WAN – centralized cloud management with secure network separation, automated provisioning, and intelligent path control
- Multi-WAN – two integrated VDSL Supervectoring modems (operable in parallel) for up to 2x 300 Mbps or alternatively use of a modem at a G.fast connection, high-speed Internet via fiber optics (GPON and AON modules available separately), and Gigabit Ethernet for connection of external modems (1x WAN Ethernet), 1x SFP/TP combo
- Load balancing for the active/active operation of several Internet lines and maximization of the available bandwidth
- Integrated dual-SIM 4G modem with 300 Mbps LTE Advanced for intelligent backup scenarios and highest reliability
- Professional telephony features thanks to integrated LANCOM VCM (Voice Call Manager) & SBC (session border controller)
- Continued use of existing ISDN and analog components via 2x ISDN S0 (NT) for point-to-point or multipoint line configuration, 4x analog (internal) / fax
- 25 simultaneous VPN connections (100 optional)
- Network virtualization with up to 64 networks on one device (ARF)
- Full-metal housing with front-facing connections and integrated 230V power supply unit for mounting in a 19" rack
- Extended protection with the content filter of the LANCOM Security Essentials Option
Intelligent networking with Secure SD-WAN
With Secure SD-WAN, you can centrally manage and protect your entire network: via the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), you define global security and access policies that are rolled out fully automatically and continuously monitored – from headquarters to branch offices. This significantly accelerates rollouts, configurations, and updates.
Encrypted Auto VPNs, High Scalability and Advanced Mesh VPNs, Dynamic Path Selection, and active/active WAN with intelligent load balancing ensure that business-critical applications always use the optimal transmission path. In addition, the LANCOM Security Essentials option further enhances security through centralized content filtering and URL blocking – for resilient and future-proof site networking.
Optimal bandwidth utilization with multi-WAN via VDSL and fiber
At enterprise locations with different WAN infrastructures, you need routers that flexibly support multiple Internet access types simultaneously. The gateway provides two integrated VDSL Supervectoring modem with up to 2x 300 Mbps, or alternatively one G.Fast connection with up to 1,000 Mbps, an SFP/TP combo port for fiber-optic lines (FTTH via optional GPON/AON module), as well as Gigabit Ethernet for external provider modems. Thanks to load balancing (active/active), all WAN interfaces can be used in parallel, optimizing traffic distribution and increasing the available bandwidth. At the same time, the parallel connection ensures increased reliability – even in the event of malfunctions or failure of one connection.
High availability with 4G cellular communications
Use 4G for flexible site connectivity – either as a backup to protect branch offices in the event of WAN/landline outages, or as a primary connection at temporary locations without a fixed line. The integrated LTE Advanced modem (Cat. 6) provides mobile access with downstream speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upstream speeds of up to 50 Mbps. Two SIM card slots support provider redundancy and increase availability in day-to-day operations.
Multi-layered security – automatically integrated
Security mechanisms in LANCOM routers are not an add-on, but are firmly integrated from the very beginning (“Built-in Security”). The stateful inspection firewall embedded in the LCOS operating system, along with the…
A client is connected to the Internet via the multi-WAN SD-WAN gateway in active/active mode (load balancing). Load balancing is used to distribute the load of the data volume in the network across Internet lines used in parallel. In this way, data connections are distributed evenly over (at least) two lines and the individual bandwidths of the lines are added together (2x 300 Mbps = 600 Mbps). In this scenario, the load balancer integrated in the SD-WAN gateway decides whether to use Internet line 1 or Internet line 2 (300 Mbps VDSL Supervectoring), depending on the load. Even if one line fails, the connection via the other line is always secured.
Several clients are connected to the Internet via the multi-WAN SD-WAN gateway and VDSL Supervectoring. Now, for example, two clients with a load balancer integrated in the router can work in parallel, each with a download speed of 300 Mbps, as this enables the data load to be distributed across both Internet lines. This enables a maximum load of 600 Mbps to be achieved, resulting in an enormous increase in network efficiency.
Thanks to the two VDSL Supervectoring modems of the multi-WAN SD-WAN gateway, it is possible to combine both Internet lines (1&2) into a load balancer network. This means that in addition to fair load distribution, the other line can take over the data traffic if one line fails. The additional LTE modem integrated in the LANCOM 1926VAG-4G can be used for a backup connection in the event that the physical lines fail – an ideal solution for maximum availability in business-critical environments.
With the integrated load balancer, IKEv2 VPN connections can also be conveniently combined into a load balancer network. Regardless of whether the network is realized with a LANCOM SD-WAN gateway, a LANCOM SD-WAN central site gateway (e.g. LANCOM ISG-5000), or the LANCOM vRouter, the load is better distributed and the data traffic is automatically taken over if one connection fails. This significantly increases the VPN bandwidth for multiple clients.
