With its wide variety of interfaces, the LANCOM 1800EFW-5G enables scalable SD-WAN site networking for medium-sized enterprises in the highest quality: The connection to modern fiber-optic connections as well as to external modems ensures fast and stable Internet. The additional 5G modem for intelligent backup scenarios in case of wired Internet line failure or for primary operation guarantees high availability and top performance of your business-critical applications. Fast dual-band concurrent Wi-Fi 6 technology integrates mobile devices into the corporate network in parallel in the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. In addition to a secure VPN connection via LANCOM IPSec VPN, the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) ensures location-independent working, which allows you to centrally manage your network components.

Intelligent networking with Secure SD-WAN
With Secure SD-WAN, you can centrally manage and protect your entire network: via the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), you define global security and access policies that are rolled out fully automatically and continuously monitored – from headquarters to branch offices. This significantly accelerates rollouts, configurations, and updates.
Encrypted Auto VPNs, High Scalability and Advanced Mesh VPNs, Dynamic Path Selection, and active/active WAN with intelligent load balancing ensure that business-critical applications always use the optimal transmission path. In addition, the LANCOM Security Essentials option further enhances security through centralized content filtering and URL blocking – for resilient and future-proof site networking.
WAN connectivity with Gigabit Ethernet and fiber
The LANCOM 1800EFW+ enables direct connection to a fiber-optic line (FTTH) via its SFP/TP combo port using a separately available SFP module (GPON / AON). In conjunction with an integrated 5G modem and Gigabit Ethernet for connecting external modems, the branch router offers the maximum flexibility in the choice of the Internet connections available at the site.
Professional integration of wireless clients via Wi-Fi 6
The LANCOM 1800EFW-5G offers wireless LAN in the Wi-Fi 6 standard (IEEE 802.11ax) and can simultaneously integrate clients in the 2.4 GHz frequency band as well as modern end devices in the 5 GHz band into the network and supply them with fast Wi-Fi. The dual-band concurrent Wi-Fi 6 technology enables transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps in 5 GHz and up to 575 Mbps in 2.4 GHz in parallel.
