At company sites and branch offices with business-critical applications, a fast and at the same time highly available connection to the Internet is essential. The SD-WAN gateway LANCOM 1800VAW-4G offers flexible interface diversity with VDSL and fiber optics, and its additional 4G connectivity ensures reliable Internet backup in the event of a wired line failure. Complemented by high-performance dual-band concurrent Wi-Fi 6, mobile devices are also connected by radio. Automated network management in combination with the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) enables the LANCOM 1800VAW-4G to save valuable resources such as time and costs.

Intelligent networking with Secure SD-WAN
With Secure SD-WAN, you can centrally manage and protect your entire network: via the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), you define global security and access policies that are rolled out fully automatically and continuously monitored – from headquarters to branch offices. This significantly accelerates rollouts, configurations, and updates.
Encrypted Auto VPNs, High Scalability and Advanced Mesh VPNs, Dynamic Path Selection, and active/active WAN with intelligent load balancing ensure that business-critical applications always use the optimal transmission path. In addition, the LANCOM Security Essentials option further enhances security through centralized content filtering and URL blocking – for resilient and future-proof site networking.
Flexible WAN connectivity via VDSL, fiber, and 4G
Stay flexible at every location and prepared for any access scenario: Thanks to versatile WAN interfaces, you can use VDSL over existing copper lines, fiber-optics for higher bandwidth and stability, or integrated 4G cellular communications as a backup or primary connection at sites without fixed-line access, depending on availability. Supported are VDSL Supervectoring and LTE (Cat. 6) up to 300 Mbps each (VDSL is backward compatible with VDSL2 and ADSL2+), fiber-optic connectivity via GPON/AON (transceiver modules available separately), as well as Gigabit Ethernet for connecting external provider modems.
Reliable integration of wireless clients
Mobile work devices gain secure, direct access to the network via the Wi-Fi router – ideal for home offices and small businesses. For stable Wi-Fi coverage without additional hardware, this device supports Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and connects wireless clients in parallel on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Data rates of up to 1,200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 575 Mbps on 2.4 GHz are possible.
