New LANCOM VPN client for Windows 10 means more convenience and better management
Version 3.10 for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows from Vista to Windows 10
Aachen, April 27, 2016—LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of networking solutions for business customers and the public sector, present the latest version of their IPSec-based Advanced VPN Client. The client offers new features and improvements that simplify the handling for administrators and users alike. It supports all current 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems.
Easier hotspot login
The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client 3.10 makes it easier to login to public Wi-Fi networks. Once the user has connected to a wireless network, a web browser integrated into the client automatically opens for the user to login to the hotspot, and the VPN connection is established immediately after authentication. The user no longer has to open an external browser such as Firefox or Chrome.
Pre-logon for Windows 10
The Windows pre-logon functionality (credential provider) is now also available for Windows 10. The VPN tunnel to the company main office is established before the local logon to the Windows domain. As a result, user-specific domain settings can be retrieved that are otherwise reserved for internal users at the company (e.g. user drives).
Easier administration with auto repair
Administrators benefit from the new version, too. The client independently monitors the system drivers that are essential to the VPN client. If a system driver malfunctions, it is fixed automatically and the user is prompted to perform a restart.
LANCOM Advanced VPN Client 3.10 supports all current 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems from Windows Vista to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10. This allows just one universal client to be used for remote access even for infrastructures with heterogeneous operating systems. The benefit: Lower costs for administrators, the user help desk, and on training.
The LANCOM Advanced VPN Client version 3.10 is available now at a price of EUR 99 plus VAT. For users of the Advanced VPN Client version 2.3 or 3.0, LANCOM offers an upgrade at a price of EUR 59 plus VAT.
