Attractively priced entry-level model for small to medium-sized networks
The LANCOM LW-700 supports the latest wireless standard Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) and provides fast wireless connectivity in the 2.4- and 5-GHz frequency bands. In dual-concurrent operating mode, it achieves an aggregate data rate of up to 3.6 Gbps. Thanks to genuine 2x2 multi-user MIMO, all of the available downlink and uplink spatial streams are distributed to several clients concurrently. The available bandwidth is exploited to the full and delays in the wireless network are significantly reduced.
Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE) for installations where there are no socket outlets. Alternatively, the LANCOM LW-700 operates with an optional power supply unit. The supplied mounting plate is compatible with the drill holes of the LANCOM LW-600 and LW-500 access points for quick replacement.
Versatile management and cloud integration
The LANCOM LW-700 operates either stand-alone or cloud-based. In stand-alone mode, an intuitive web interface (WEBconfig) provides an ideal overview: Modern dashboards display the current Wi-Fi status and simplify the configuration of networks (SSIDs) and network keys. With the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC), the device supports zero-touch deployment for fully automatic configuration by software-defined networking (SDN). It can also operate with a WLAN controller or with a virtual controller in a LANCOM vRouter.
Optimized energy consumption
The LANCOM Management Cloud provides highly efficient energy consumption through the LANCOM Active Power Control. “Sustainability Mode” reduces power requirements by cutting the functions in the access points to a minimum during idle periods. Central energy monitoring provides full transparency about energy consumption.
Perfect Wi-Fi at the touch of a button
The automation solution LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0 scans, analyzes, and optimizes the Wi-Fi even at locations with data-intensive applications, high numbers of users, or interfering external networks. Even under complex conditions, a holistic, self-learning optimization of the Wi-Fi installation improves channel distribution, channel-width utilization, and transmission power. Access points managed via the LANCOM Management Cloud can also be prioritized according to their usage. Based on actual utilization patterns, capacity is provided exactly where it is needed. This saves manual work for IT administrators and quickly optimizes the Wi‑Fi installation.
Security with WPA3 and freedom from backdoors
The LANCOM LW-700 features a range of integrated security features including IEEE 802.1X (WPA3-Enterprise, WPA2-Enterprise), WPA3-Personal, IEEE 802.11i (WPA2-Personal), as well as the convenience of QR-code key sharing for new clients.
As a holder of the “IT Security made in Germany” trust mark, LANCOM is committed to keeping its products free of secret backdoors. This means the LANCOM switches, access points, routers, firewalls, and the Germany-hosted LANCOM Management Cloud operate at all times in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), even in sensitive environments.
Update guarantees and professional support
LANCOM regularly offers free updates to guarantee maximum investment protection. Major releases, release updates, and bug fixes are available not only throughout the product life cycle, but even two years after product discontinuation. In addition to the extensive self-service and online resources available around the clock, services such as remote configuration or personal 24/7 support can also be booked if required.
The LANCOM LW-700 with a 3-year warranty (5 years optional) is available now from LANCOM specialist resellers at a price of EUR 429 (RRP) excl. VAT.
