"The Wi-Fi 7 standard is enjoying increasing popularity. The Wi-Fi-exclusive 6 GHz frequency band, combined with advanced Wi-Fi 7 features, delivers unprecedented immersive user experiences that will transform the Wi-Fi market.
When planning a Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure, it is important not to overlook powerful LAN components in addition to Wi-Fi 7-enabled access points: Switches with sufficient port capacity and PoE power are required to meet the required transmission speeds and power requirements. In addition, the cabling should support the required data rates.
At LANCOM Systems, we are long-standing consultants, partners, and network technology suppliers for various industries and are familiar with the obstacles involved in switching to new WLAN technologies. We would be happy to advise you and show you how to set up a secure, sustainable, and automated Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure. So that the digital transformation is easy and successful."
Wi-Fi 7 access points in the LANCOM Management Cloud
LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0 and Active Power Control continuously collect operating and usage data from the WLAN infrastructure. This data is not only used for current optimization, but also forms a valuable basis for future AI-supported functions. This makes the network increasingly adaptive, predictive, and efficient.
LANCOM Active Radio Control 2.0
ARC 2.0 uses cloud-based, computer-assisted learning to automatically determine the optimal Wi-Fi configuration based on real usage and environmental data. Factors such as load, channel selection, bandwidth, and transmit power are continuously optimized. A dashboard displays the current status and allows simulations that can be applied with a single click. The result: fewer channel conflicts, greater stability, and optimally distributed capacity.
LANCOM Active Power Control for reduced energy consumption
Active Power Control dynamically reduces the energy consumption of the WLAN infrastructure without compromising operational reliability. In Sustainability Mode, access points automatically reduce their power consumption during idle periods. Centralized monitoring provides transparency regarding energy requirements, potential savings, and the contribution to sustainability.
Well-designed scope of delivery with added value
The LX-7000 models stand out with well-thought-out mounting and sustainability concepts. A compact mounting plate is always included and allows existing drill holes to be reused—ideal when replacing common third-party devices. The plastic-free packaging made from paper fibers reduces waste and simplifies disposal. An optimized scope of delivery reduces packaging waste, electronic waste, and CO₂ emissions. The housing is made from 100% recyclable materials. Optionally, the LANCOM LX-7000 Universal Mount and the LANCOM LX-7000 T-Bar Mount facilitate fast, compatible, and ergonomic installation.
Digital sovereignty with LANCOM Wi-Fi 7 access points
LANCOM Wi-Fi 7 access points support digital sovereignty by combining modern network technology “Engineered in Germany” with full data control. The devices are developed and manufactured in Germany, ensuring maximum transparency and security in terms of supply chains and product architecture. In combination with the LANCOM Management Cloud hosted in Germany, institutions such as schools or administrations retain sovereignty over their data, configurations, and updates at all times. Thanks to Wi-Fi 7, they also benefit from maximum performance, low latency, and high connection stability – important prerequisites for digital education scenarios or other critical applications.
Built-in security in LANCOM Wi-Fi 7 access points
LANCOM Wi-Fi 7 access points deliver comprehensive security out of the box with integrated protection at both the hardware and software levels.
