Network manufacturer offers German network infrastructure solutions
LANCOM Systems receives the quality seal "IT Security made in Germany"
Aachen, October 29, 2013—LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of professional network solutions for the commercial and public sectors, is the first infrastructure manufacturer to qualify for the "IT Security Made in Germany " (ITSMIG) quality seal. Originally initiated by the German Ministry of Economics, this seal is awarded by the German IT Security Association, TeleTrusT, exclusively to German IT companies who develop their products in Germany and who meet the strict criteria on IT security and data privacy.
At a time when the headlines are almost daily dominated by telephone-tapping and espionage scandals, and when markets are losing faith particularly in US providers, a quality seal like 'IT Security made in Germany' signposts the way to confidentiality and sends a strong signal at home and abroad. Bearers of the TeleTrusT quality seal "IT Security made in Germany" have to meet the following prerequisites:
• The company is headquartered in Germany.
• The company offers trusted security solutions.
• The products are guaranteed to be free of backdoors.
• Research and development in IT security takes place in Germany.
• The company is committed to compliance with the requirements of German data protection law.
All of these requirements are met by LANCOM Systems: The company was founded in 2002 near Aachen, Germany and focuses on network solutions for the commercial and public sectors. LANCOM's two business units, VPN Network Connectivity and Wireless LAN, offer professional users secure infrastructure solutions for local-area and multi-site networks. The certification is a globally recognized security seal and an independent confirmation of the high level of security and confidentiality of the products.
