In Germany's largest IT security user study, a total of 4,400 application experts were invited between September and October 2025 to evaluate leading solution providers based on hands-on experience and the tangible benefits of the solutions in everyday work. For the Professional User Rating Security Solutions (PUR-S), users assessed performance across ten product categories, including VPN. Vendors who received excellent ratings, both as a company and for their solutions, were awarded Champion status.
Vendor rating: LANCOM achieves the best overall result
At the vendor level, LANCOM Systems ranks among the top performers and achieves the best overall result with 66.1 points. The company scored particularly highly in vendor satisfaction, achieving top marks for keeping promises, repeat purchase, and willingness to recommend. LANCOM also took first place in the sales partners category—evidence of its strong partner network and the professional expertise of its sales partners. LANCOM also performed strongly in service and support, securing second place: users praised the service team's expertise, fast and effective problem resolution, and excellent documentation. The company's information and training offerings are also impressive. Thanks to practical, hands-on training and individualized support for security managers, LANCOM Systems achieved third place in this category.
Solution rating: LANCOM excels in solution benefits
In the solution rating, LANCOM Systems achieved 70.4 out of a possible 100 points, securing third place overall. The vendor performed particularly well in solution benefits, ranking first among all providers. Users emphasized that LANCOM's VPN solutions enable noticeably more efficient work and help ensure compliance with both legal and internal corporate requirements. Notably, LANCOM is the only provider to consistently achieve top scores across all criteria related to solution benefits. No other vendor reaches a comparable level across all sub-aspects—from productivity and compliance to relieving IT departments.
