Thank you for trying out the AI chatbot for the LANCOM router portfolio! It supports you around the clock with individual portfolio questions about the SD-WAN gateways and routers. For an optimal start, we recommend our tips for a successful chat. If your query goes beyond the current knowledge spectrum of the chatbot, the sales team will be happy to help you - by phone or via the contact form. Wording

The chatbot treats each request independently. Therefore, clearly and simply worded queries (prompts) lead to better response quality. Provide sufficient context so that the questions can be answered better and completely according to your expectations. It is best to formulate questions rather than instructions. If you want to include product names in your questions, make sure they are spelled completely and correctly (e. g. inclusive hyphens).

Interaction

Please ask only one question at a time and wait for the response before sending another message. Longer conversations or dialogues can negatively affect the response quality. If you have follow-up questions, it is best to rephrase your question and include important details, or restart the session when changing topics (use the refresh button at the bottom right next to the language selector). To ensure the best possible response quality, please avoid off-topic questions or inquiries about products and firmware that are no longer part of the current LANCOM portfolio.

Data protection

The chat histories are stored for up to three months without any conclusions being drawn about the user. The questions on quality improvement are evaluated anonymously by our employees who specialize in AI training. However, please do not enter any personal, sensitive or confidential data, but anonymize it if necessary.

Please note that the use of AI-powered language models can sometimes result in statements that sound plausible but are incorrect. However, the more you use the LANCOM Digital Assistant and provide feedback on its functionality and response quality, the better we can support you. We therefore encourage you to share your feedback on the answers (thumbs up / down) so we can continuously improve.

The training material consists of publicly accessible documents from the LANCOM website, including data sheets, tech and white papers, comparison tables, and manuals, as well as selected LANCOM Knowledge Base articles about current products.

AI made in Germany

For the solution, we rely on a provider with a platform developed in Europe, including secure data processing and exclusive use of European cloud providers. The large language model (LLM) used is ChatGPT-4o mini, hosted in Europe (MS Azure).

The solution provider is a member of the German KI Bundesverband, a dedicated community of companies and experts committed to the future of artificial intelligence in Europe.
