Aachen, October 27, 2017—LANCOM Systems, the leading German manufacturer of networking solutions for business customers and the public sector, is launching a new generation of its Wireless ePaper Displays for applications in digital and room signage. This second version of the electronic signs now offers signal red as a color in addition to the black and white of the Displays available so far. Also new are the high-quality stainless-steel designer frames and the LANCOM Wireless ePaper Room Signage Set featuring all the components necessary for five rooms.

LANCOM Wireless ePaper Displays are the effective digital alternative to conventional paper signs and labels. In addition to optimizing your processes, the displays connect to calendar, merchandise-management and reservation systems to fulfill a number of innovative applications. Compared to conventional digital signage solutions, the electronic signs from LANCOM impress with their low operating costs and maximum versatility. Thanks to a highly energy-saving 2.4-GHz wireless technology, the displays operate with batteries and can be positioned anywhere—even mobile.

The LANCOM Wireless ePaper Displays are controlled via the WLAN access points of the LANCOM E-series. These access points feature specialized software adaptations and an additional wireless module for the interference-free operation of the Wi-Fi and the Displays in parallel.

New applications thanks to color displays

The new color displays (black, white and red) offer a wide range of applications. They are capable of showing graphics, they are flicker-free and easy to view from any angle. User-friendly software makes it easy to produce customized labeling and offers freely programmable interfaces for connection to external systems. Possible scenarios include facility management, healthcare, production, and logistics. The red color of the ePaper displays is ideal for drawing attention to changes of schedule, reservations, maintenance alerts or low stock levels.

Designer stainless-steel frame and a complete room signage set

LANCOM addresses typical room signage scenarios with the new LANCOM Wireless ePaper Room Signage Set. It contains all the components necessary for setting up modern, radio-controlled signage for offices, conference rooms or clinics: A LANCOM LN-830E access point, the necessary software, and five LANCOM Wireless ePaper Displays of 7.4" in size.

Also new to the LANCOM portfolio is the LANCOM Wireless ePaper Premium Frame. With the stainless-steel frame, the 7.4" displays make an attractive optical addition to elegant rooms and modern environments. Typical applications include the hotel industry, office buildings or conference centers.

The color displays are available in the sizes 2.7", 4.2" and 7.4" from 99 Euro (SRP excl. VAT). The LANCOM Wireless ePaper Room Signage Set (1 x LANCOM LN-830E, 1 x Wireless ePaper Server, 5 x 7.4" Displays) is on offer at 1,999 Euro excl. VAT and the LANCOM Wireless ePaper Premium Frame 7.4" at 29 Euro excl. VAT.

All components are available from specialist resellers. The LANCOM Wireless ePaper Server included in the Room Signage Set for the central management of Display infrastructures is also available for purchase separately at 399 Euro excl. VAT.
