Aachen, 15 November 2021—The German network infrastructure and security supplier LANCOM Systems has a new Vice President of Cloud Management & Services, Lutz Fröhlich. On November 1, the experienced manager took up responsibility for the continued development of solutions and services in the area of cloud-managed networks and software-defined networking based on the LANCOM Management Cloud. Before his move, Lutz Fröhlich headed the Digital Services unit at Deutsche Telekom AG.

Lutz Fröhlich looks back on more than 20 years of management experience in the IT and telecommunications industry. At Deutsche Telekom, the 54-year-old held various management positions over a number of years, being responsible for the growth, product development and marketing of the cloud and digital-services business in Germany and Europe.

In his new position, Lutz Fröhlich is responsible for the strategic development of the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) and the associated portfolio of services. Developed and hosted in Germany, the LMC forms the basis for holistic, GDPR-compliant network management and secure location networking “made in Europe”. All network components in the WAN, LAN, WLAN and firewall can be configured and managed in a highly automated manner using the LMC.

Lutz Fröhlich reports to Christian Schallenberg, CTO and member of the Management Board at LANCOM: “With Lutz Fröhlich we have gained a leader with thoroughbred cloud DNA. This lays the foundation for the ongoing, energetic expansion of our cloud services, which offer digital sovereignty by holistically addressing the topics of networking and network security, and bringing them together in the cloud.”
