BSI certification is highly relevant in practice
Accelerated Security Certification independently tests and verifies manufacturers’ security claims regarding their products. A series of conformity tests are carried out to verify the security performance (Security Target) promised by the manufacturer. The actual effectiveness of the technical security measures/security performance and the cryptographic functions and procedures used in the product are examined in the BSZ's risk-based approach that employs penetration tests to find typical faults. The installation instructions are also checked to see whether correctly following them does indeed lead to a secure system.
Internationally recognized
The IT security certificates gain international recognition with an agreement between the BSI and the French security authority ANSSI (Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d'information). With only a few exceptions, all CSPN certificates (Certification de sécurité de premier niveau) are recognized in Germany by the BSI and all BSZ certificates are recognized in France by the ANSSI.
BSI-certified SD-WAN gateway
The multi-WAN SD-WAN gateway LANCOM 1930EF is suitable for site connectivity at medium-sized and large companies and branch infrastructures with high security requirements. With multiple Internet connections operated in parallel (load balancing), the LANCOM 1930EF also ensures that data volumes are evenly distributed to reduce the network load. A comprehensive range of SD-WAN features enables straightforward zero-touch deployment and automated setup of secure VPN connections (Auto-VPN) between sites—including network virtualization.
Important component of digital sovereignty
The gateway is developed and manufactured in Germany according to the highest standards of security and data protection. The BSZ certificate includes an update guarantee and a quick-response obligation in case of vulnerability reports. As a bearer of the trust mark “IT Security made in Germany”, LANCOM has pledged to keep its products backdoor-free and also fulfills the demanding requirements for the trustworthiness of central IT components in KRITIS (CIP) environments. This makes the gateway an important component for greater security, resilience and digital sovereignty in business and public administration.
